I have migrated to Australia for long time. But when I watched this “Umbrella” protest, I feel very sad. It has absolutely breached Human Right and I wish people can share the actual Human Right info to all people including those protesters, their supporters and public media.
In the Human Rights pages that exited in United Nation web page. Especially the last section "Both Rights and Obligations", it stated:
“At the individual level, while we are entitled our human rights, we should also respect the human rights of others.”
You should respect the right of the people who live in the area while you are using your right for speak and gathering right. These general’s public’s right is not your "Chip" to negotiate with Government.
You are using your "Cold Violence" hurting those normal general public's human right. If you feel that you have been hurt because Government not listening to your request. You are doing the same to the normal public who only wish to work, live peaceful and feed their families.
For Hong Kong public media, where is your code of Ethics? Everyone have their right to know all stories as far as it is true. I can see a lot of repeating and detail news about how poor students are. How they have been attacked. Where are the news about those normal public who having difficulties in living and suffering when the protesters blocked the road? When you reporting police using tear gas, where is the news about the protesters attacking police?
For normal people, there is Human Rights Council in UN and you may follow the Complaint Procedure to raise complaint which may serve as effective means of addressing your human rights violations. Human Right is for everyone, not only for young people or people who demanding their “Democracy”.
